An exciting opportunity for career progression within the internal audit sector has recently become available at a highly successful European bank. With over 90 million customers and presence in more than 40 companies, the role provides the successful candidate with an opportunity to become part of one of the world's largest and most flourishing banks. Whilst its main competitors have struggled throughout the recession, they have seen profits rise year on year.
The successful applicant's main responsibilities will be to contribute to and/or lead internal audit reviews to assess the management and control of risks in business areas within the firm's UK operations. They will be required to meet internal audit timescales as well as comply with internal audit methodology and quality requirements. The role will also involve managing relationships with key stakeholders and business heads to deliver audits as well as to manage, coach and motivate junior team members.
Applicants must be educated to degree level (2:1) degree in Finance, Accounting, and Economics. They must also be a member of a professional financial accounting or IT audit body (e.g. ACA). It is also imperative that applicants have proven practical experience in financial services, accounting, external audit or internal audit.
