A European General Insurance giant have engaged Austin Andrew to search for a Risk Manager. Reporting directly into the Chief Risk Officer, this is a fantastic opportunity to further your career with an ambitious insurer, to make your mark and develop the Risk Management framework.

You will be tasked with establishing, managing and coordinating a company-wide internal control function. Managing the emerging risks identification process, you will oversee the technical side of the business reviewing claims and underwriting. This will be coordinated with a leading role on the Solvency II implementation project.
Key responsibilities will include constant oversight of the internal control framework, including monitoring, managing and enforcement of controls and policy adherence.

An outstanding mediator and communicator, you will advise, engage and challenge the business on control processes and failures. You will be involved heavily with Solvency II on the Pillar II side and will sit on various governance committees.

With a strong background in Risk Management and General Insurance, you will see this role as an exciting new challenge. Particular risk experience in the areas of underwriting and claims-related risks is key.
