Austin Andrew is recruiting for an Internal Auditor to join a global company within the oil sector, who are based in Aberdeen. They are looking to grow their internal audit team, and plan to recruit a strong internal auditor, who will report directly into the Head of Internal Audit.

Responsibilities include conducting audits on controls, processes and business entities as well as supporting the company in their design of internal controls, whilst developing a deep understanding of the risks involved. You will be responsible for periodic assessment of risks and controls and production of written reports expressing opinions on the effectiveness of the control environment, and agreeing cost effective solutions for matters raised in a wide range of business areas as allocated by the line manager.

Other duties include the planning and delivering of control improvements through audits, agreeing action plans and monitoring progress against these action plans. You will also establish strong working relationships with regional and global management.

The ideal candidate will have a strong academic background and either be fully qualified or working towards and accountancy or audit qualification. You must have effective interpersonal, influencing and communication skills, as well as a high level of commercial acumen. The role requires 40 % international travel.
