Do you want to work for a highly respected and entrepreneurial listed group in the architectural and property sector. Working out of their prestigious central London offices they are seeking candidate that has previously worked in a commercial / management accounting role within a project accounting environment

Assist the UK Finance and Commercial Director to maximise profitability and cash flow
Assisting the Financial Planning and Analysis accountant in the preparation of operating budgets and forecasts
Providing commercial support to the regional businesses
Assisting in project tenders, bids and quotations as directed
Ensuring project Change orders within projects are monitored and controlled
Identifying significant project variances to budget/forecast and recommending appropriate remedial action
Assisting Credit Control with Regional debt issue resolution

Responsible for the maintenance and ongoing development of the Project Accounting environment
Responsible for project performance analysis and forecasts
Responsible for the development of a cohesive project performance reporting environment
Responsible for maintaining information on, and expediting, project commercial improvements

Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Excellent working knowledge of core Microsoft products.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Highly Numerate and IT literate
Ability to work quickly and accurately, with limited supervision, good initiative taker when required.

Experience
Experienced commercial manager ideally from within project accounting environment - construction, professional or support services sector or similar projects focussed business
Working knowledge of UK GAAP / IFRS

Education / Qualifications

Degree educated
Recognised accounting qualification (AAT or part qualified/qualified ACA / ACCA / CIMA )
This role will pay up to £40k per annum + benefits
