Our client a listed Support Services company due to expansion and recent success have an excellent opportunity for a strong technically minded Accountant to join their successful team in Central LondonThe successful candidate will be the leader of the Group finance team, directly supporting the Group Finance Director. They will have responsibility for the preparation of key management reports to a high standard in line with tight reporting deadlines. The Group finance team will manage the group consolidation process which will require close liaising with the finance teams in groups' three subsidiary entities. Key to success in this role is the ability to work with the businesses and influence across the group to drive improvements in both reporting and results.Specific responsibilities: Year end/interim reportingProducer of the Group consolidation under International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). Primary audit point of contact and responsible for liaising with the subsidiary entities finance departments Preparation of the PLC Year End and Interim accounts for publicationBudgets and forecastsPreparation of the consolidated Group budget pack and associated analysisProduction of the monthly consolidated Group rolling forecast and associated analysisMonthly reportingPreparation of consolidated monthly management accounts (including narrative) and review of Board reports Internal controlDrive improvements to internal control culture and help maintain compliance with company policies and proceduresUndertake internal control visits as part of rotational plan and produce report of findings for Audit CommitteeWho we're looking forQualified AccountantExperience of Group consolidationsExperience in preparation of statutory accounts under IFRS and UK GAAPExperience of working in for at LSE listed entity.Knowledge and experience of a computerised consolidation package Benefitshealthcare, company pension contribution and Life assurance.
